Harley Dealer's Association's
HOG RALLY
Conneaut Lake, PA
Dated: 1991

This is a year that I will NEVER forget.

It all started when my friends, Russ and Linda and I decided to ride to the Hog Rally together.    It was a beautiful day for a ride.

We arrived at Conneaut Lake Park and set up our tents by the roller coaster, as usual and.......

Then, we went to look for the place to sign up for the poker run... who do you think we found there?
Willie G. Davidson and his wife Nancy and son and their entourage......

Willie and Nancy was kind enough to let me take several pictures of them.  They posed for the picture below.

It was time to leave on the poker run and so we left with Willie and his group.  Unbeknownst to us, we were NOT supposed to ride with them as they were going to get a head start.  They were such nice people that they did not say a word about it when we fired up our Harleys and left with them.

We stopped here and we stopped there and there was a guy that I started telling that "I" was going to win the poker run.  All throughout the poker run we were practically neck and neck on our points.  It was great.

Here is a picture of one of the places where we drew our cards for the poker run.  Hahahhaha it was an Ice Cream Parlor.  I guess they didn't want us to drink and ride.  This is were I decided "I" was the one who would win this Poker Run.

As we stopped here and there the Willie Davidson family were just as friendly as could be.  They chatted freely with us as if they had known us all their lives.

Below is one of the 'pee stops'.

It is there that the picture was taken that I will cherish until I die.  It is a picture of Willie G. Davidson on  MY "DAISY".
(Daisy is my 1972 Shovelhead)
Linda Johnson and I are on either side of Willie G. Davidson.

Oh.... and by the way.... I won the poker run with 3 queens and 2 nines.
Willie gave me a nick name that day.... "California Red" because I had a California Bedroll on the back of my Red Harley. ahahahahaha

The first picture below is me sporting my medal I get for winning the poker run.  I don't even know if there was any other prize because I was so hungover the next day when they gave out the prizes, and my feet were killing me. hahahahahhahaha.  I accepted the medal graciously and partied on.... and on... and on..................

Below are more pictures I took on this particular Poker Run..... ENJOY

The next picture is of some of us back at our campsite having some beers, etc.

Then a bunch of us up by the Bar on the Lake.
This is where Muzzy got put in a barrel.  (sorry muz, i just had to say it)

We all had a great time and got home safely.
