Albion Dirty Bikers
Campout
1990something
(don't ask me why the name was Albion Dirty Bikers because none of us were from Albion..hahahha)

Here I am, again on one of my many adventures...

The usual bunch of us went camping 3 times a year up in the Allegheny Mountains in Pennsylvania near the Kinzu Dam area.
A beautiful place to go enjoy nature.  First we met at Terry's parent's house and packed all the gear on our bikes and in the trucks along with saws and axes to cut the trees for our campfires.

Then we headed for our grocery and beverage stops.  Everyone paid $10.00 a head for the 3 day weekend.

We parked our bikes outside the grocery store and....

We headed to the grocery store to pick up some grub.

The ride to the mountains was so nice with the fresh air blowing thru our hair.... it was music to our ears.
We arrived to our campsite and everyone kind of parked their bikes in the same area out of the way just in case someone had a little too much fun and started tripping over things.  the bikes wouldn't fall victim to a 'teetering' instead of a 'tottering' person.

Kim (Turri) Case and Denise Owens are shown here parking their Harleys.

We arrive at the usual campsite, pitch our tents and the women set up the cook tent.

You can see the cook tent in the background

The guys all jump in the truck and head for the hills in search of the perfect logs to make a magnificent, not to mention, gigantic campfire.  Those boys could really start a large fire. hahahah  They put whole logs in it.  It was awesome.

Here is one of the guys all tuckered out ... and if you notice the log on the fire pile in the foreground, you will see that it IS a LARGE log.

Lucy, the pit bull, brought her fair share of the wood.  She and the other pit bull (I can't remember it's name) were extremely good guard dogs as nothing, not even me, could come near the camp without first letting Lucy know who it was.  Sometimes kind of scarey but she did a good job

After the work was done and everyone was settled, Dan Owens found the hammock and took a snooze.  Bubba's tent was the most unique.  It was a tarp hung over a clothes line between two trees.  You can see it in the background.

Below you see Timmy Warren cutting us some benches out of logs.

Here is Timmy sitting on his newly sawn log benches

After dark we all gathered around the campfire and had friendly conversation and just laid back and enjoyed the great outdoors.

Then there was Tom Hale (below).  He brought his guitar and in the evening he would strum it while Jim Case and the others sang along their favorite songs.  It was a kick.

Next morning after everyone had eaten, we all headed for the Visitor's area where there are nice warm showers.  The only bad part was you had to put a quarter in for a few minutes and then go back out and keep putting in quarters.  ewwwwwww   If you were lucky, someone would put them in for you.

My poor husband was out driving his BIG truck so I had to go alone.  I brought him a tee shirt. :-)

Here are a few pictures of the next morning.  As you can see they are drinking coffee to wake up.  Either you don't sleep at all up there or you sleep like a 'log' hahhahah.  You just have to bring the right equipment for sleeping..... like a soft rubber mat or something.

The next picture is of Dan & Denise Owen's son swinging on a tree.

And below are more pictures of our Albion Dirty Bikers who arrived the next day (Saturday)

Fun was had by all and on Monday morning we all packed up and rode safely home.
