Louie Run 2001

The Louie Run is a Memorial Run.  Every year Dennis puts the knife to his finger and draws a drop of blood and lets it fall to the earth in hopes that that will be the only drop of any of our blood to hit the ground during this new riding season.

Dennis has lots of scars from this.

This year Jim, me and George Potter went together to the Louie Run.

We usually just go to watch the ceremony now.  We walk around and buy stuff and eat and have beers but we don't stay too long.  It is always good to get right there and then we can do some bar hopping on the way home.

It is a great party though.

When we first got there, I saw this guy with the little motorcycle.  It was adorable.  I just had to take a picture of it.  It was for sale.

This next picture is kind of wide but I wanted to have a picture of the whole area behind the ceremony.
We parked our bikes in the field there.

Some Closer Pictures

While I was up in the grandstand taking pictures, my husband Jim and our friend George was down below looking for me.   I took this picture of them looking for me.

Oops!!!  I have been caught in the act!!!
Uh.... what is that you have in your hand dear?  Did you get me one?

Here is Dennis cutting his finger.  ouchie!!!

Now the ceremony is over and we walk around a bit.

Here is Larry's Dad's Bike.  His dad raced it when he was a young man.
Larry has a stand and he calls his business Larry's Leathers.

Here is Larry sitting on his dad's bike.
He takes the bike all over the place showing it off.  He is very proud of his father.

Larry carefully places some of the posters of the races his father raced in.

This is it.  No more pictures.

Until May 5th, 2002.... Ride Safe.... Ride Free.
