HANFORD RUN
Hanford County Fairgrounds
Hanford, CA
Below is a picture of Sharon Wick (Me) at
Das Gasthaus Bar and Restaurant, Milpitas, California just before leaving for
the Hanford Run. I am sitting on my 1970 Sportster holding a 'run' flyer.
To tell you the truth, JR didn't give complete ownership to me until
he received his new Harley. In the pictures to follow you will see him
packing me on the back....
Here we are on Pacheco Pass in California on our way to our second pitstop. (The first pitstop was at the usual gas station in Gilroy, CA right before we go over the pass. Nothing exciting there except one time my valves in my front head of my 1972 HD burnt and I had to hitch-hike home. What a bummer. Not this trip, though.
The next picture is of our group stopping at Casa De Fruta out on Pacheco Pass between Gilroy and Madera. Casa De Fruta is a winery. It has a restaurant and a gift shop with wonderful cheeses, meats, fruits, nuts and wine tasting. Just about everyone stopped there on the way to the Hanford Run. There is, however another pitstop on the Pass called the Roll on In Bar. I think it is gone now.
The next picture is of JR on his bike.
The next picture is of a part of our campsite at Hanford. If you look closely you can see our San Jose Banner on the tree.
The next picture is one of my friends that is one of the funniest people I have ever met. Steve of Santa Cruz. Very funny story on how we met.
The next picture is of my friend and also one of my area secretaries, June.. (don't know whatever happened to her, darn... she got married and quit riding)
Also a picture of June with JR. (God rest his soul) I think she was trying to comb his hair.
Next is the beginnings of a great party. Pictured here is Ron Roloff giving out awards, etc. (not a very good picture.. kind of dark)
Next is the morning after...... just a couple of pictures of a
few of mine and JR's good friends....
First Maria.. another area secretary. I hope you are okay, Maria
and then Kenny and Lydia Deboe... (they were working on a cruise ship or
something like that the last I heard. ahhahahah)
Fun was had by all and I will never forget the people who worked so hard to make this party work.
