HERE WE GO AGAIN......

SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2003

Just got my bike out of the shop as I got new tires, tubes and front brake pads so I could take old Daisy on the Full Moon Risin' Bike Run and Party... 2003

We left home exactly at noon as planned so we could get to Perry Tavern in time for 1st bike out.

Old Daisy decided to short out on Interstate 90 and Route 528 off ramp.  BUMMER!!!!!
We called a friend to come bring a trailer and pick up the bike.  Jim decided that I should take his bike, the 95 Tour Classic, and go get us signed up.  Okay, I said, that would be fine and I would pick him up in Conneaut when I got there.

The guys  that were supposed to pick up the bike got lost!
I waited 3 1/2 hours so they would have time to go to get the bike, load it and return to Conneaut.  Never happened.  They were lost!   After several phone calls, I finally got a call from them and they said they would go back to get the bike.  This was after I already went back to check on Jim.

Jim was a real sport about it.  What a guy!!!  We were waiting for the trailer and he said  "I think I got the bike sold".  WOW!!!!   I want a new one!!!

They guys finally made it there and got the bike and let us just go ahead on the bike run and party.

Jim missed all the stops but this is what I did while I was waiting....

First stop was at Perry Tavern in Perry, Ohio

z

Everyone is lining up to start down the road....

Here we go.....

Entering Geneva-on-the-Lake...

Next Stop is ANNIES.  It was really strange without Annie.
Poor Annie had some strokes and could not attend.  If you want to send her cards, she is at Austinburg Rehabilitation Center.
We MISSED you, Annie.  Get well soon.

I left Annie's a little early so I could go look for my husband.  He was supposed to meet me in Conneaut...  Didn't happen.....

This is the view of Lake Erie from Lake Road while leaving the Geneva area.

I arrived in Conneaut and hung out at the gas station waiting for the guys to bring the bike back to town but they never came.   Soooooo I headed down to the Bottom Line Tavern in the mean time...

Leaving the Bottom Line Tavern in Conneaut, Ohio

Unfortunately, under the circumstances of the 72 shovelhead breaking down, we didn't make it to the Harrassments Bar & Grill so we went straight to Troy, Ohio to Blazin' Bills for the party.

We are arriving at Blazin' Bills

Everyone has gotten here already... and we are starving..

We park Jim's bike and asked some nice guy to take our picture for this website..

These two guys wanted their pictures taken by the porta pottys. ahhahaha

Walking around we see the building on the right where the Support items are being sold and on the left is where the wonderful food is served.

Here are the girls who are selling the Support items...

Here are some of the people who chowed down and now they are relaxing with drinks and listening to the band.

Outside was a wonderful bond fire.

The party ended kind of early this year.  It turned pretty cold out and there were so many other things going on this weekend that a lot of people chowed down and then left.

The food was wonderful... A plate contained chicken, ribs, corn, a huge baked potato, roll & butter.  Those guys really know how to please the stomach.

There was no full moon this time but it was a great ride and the food was wonderful.

Until Next Year, keep

Again, we all want to thank our hosts for the great time....
I especially want to thank my husband, Jim, for being so patient while he waited 5-1/2 hours for the trailer to pick up my broken down bike.  He told me to take his bike to go sign up and I went on all of the run except for the Harrassments stop.  I didn't get many pictures this year but I tried to do the best I could with the little time I had.

I hope everyone enjoys these pictures as much as I did in taking them.....
I apologize if some of the pictures I thought I was taking didn't make it here..

OH... by the way... there was NO wires shorting in my bike.  The coil was shorting out on the coil cover.  No problem.

Oh... and thanks, Brad & Mark for picking up my bike.

As always.....
